Valerie's Homemade BBQ Sauce

Why buy BBQ sauce when you can make it at home — and I’ll bet you already have most of the ingredients in your pantry! This sauce is delicious and easy to make. Pair it with ribs, chicken, on pizza or mix with ranch to make dressing.

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

3 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

Directions

  1. Add the ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, garlic and onion powders, smoked paprika and liquid smoke to a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until simmering, 2 to 3 minutes. Turn off the heat. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
