Broccoli casserole is a traditional side dish served at Thanksgiving. Ree has created a simplified version of the dish that can be made in one pot, complete with creamy sauce and a crunchy topping made with butter crackers.
Melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet. Add the broccoli and onion, then cook to soften, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cream, then bring to a simmer. Turn off the heat.
Top with the cheese and crackers, then bake until the cheese is melted and the crackers are golden, 12 to 15 minutes.
