Ingredients

1 cup white balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon crushed red pepper

1 teaspoon kosher salt

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Combine the vinegar, sugar, crushed red pepper, salt and garlic in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens and can coat the back of a spoon, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from the heat, then add the butter and whisk to combine. Adjust the seasoning if necessary. Use on wings cooked to your preference.

When I saw vinegar as the main ingredient for a wing sauce at first I wasn't interested. I love vinegar, but the thought of pairing it with wings didn't really appeal to me. However, I'm always open to trying something new. Yeah, I should've went with my instincts. Was not for me. I'll stick to my other wing sauces that don't contain much vinegar and sugar.
