Guys, this is a big deal. Iron Chef America, the beloved series that asks whose cuisine reigns supreme and is hosted by the inimitable Alton Brown, is going back to its roots with all-new episodes of the elite competition this spring.
Premiering Sunday, May 20 at 10|9c, Iron Chef America will bring together the most-skilled Iron Chefs in the game, a bounty of Secret Ingredients, fierce and hungry challengers, and, of course, the Chairman himself to create can't-miss battles that will leave you speechless. The rules of the game will be just as you remember them: One Iron Chef will face off against one challenger in a single 60-minute challenge, and the task is to create five dishes featuring the Secret Ingredient in an hour, one being ready in the first 20 minutes.
New this season is floor reporter Jet Tila, a longtime chef, a cookbook author and a past Iron Chef America competitor to boot. He'll be in the trenches of Kitchen Stadium alongside the Iron Chefs and challengers observing their every move and bringing to life each step of the prep work for you, the fans, watching at home.
